Karting Main Title
Kart Racing Go See Carousel Image 1
For sheer, close, wheel-to-wheel excitement you just can’t beat a kart race. From youngsters of eight years old battling in the Cadet class, right up to the awesomely fast 150 mph-plus Superkarts, kart drivers are brave to the point of madness as they jockey for position on the limits of tyre adhesion.

The rolling start is one of motor sport’s most fabulous sights; a blur of bright colours coupled with the sound of angry wasps as up to thirty two-stroke engines, revving to 15,000 rpm or more, tear across the startline and into the first corner, often six abreast, with no-one backing off!

Races take place at purpose-built short tracks such as Buckmore Park in Kent, or on racing circuits like Oulton Park  in Cheshire, where this year's British Kart Prix will take place.

Each meeting’s quickfire format gives spectators more than 30 races per day, so the next action-packed encounter is only a couple of minutes away.

Look round the paddock, and you will find that drivers and teams are usually pleased to stop and chat. And, who knows, as most of today’s Formula 1 stars started in karts, you might just be talking to the next Lewis Hamilton or Jenson Button.
