The support from the Carrera Cup, the fastest one-make race category in Britain, was unveiled at Oulton Park on Friday 25 July when MSA Chairman Alan Gow joined Carrera Cup championship manager Marion Barnaby and a number of Carrera Cup racers.
Many of the cars in the Carrera Cup will be carrying Go Motorsport stickers and it is hoped that the wide appeal of the championship will help bring the campaign to the notice of fans at the race tracks as well as those at home watching the action on television.
“We are very pleased to support Go Motorsport,” said Marion Barnaby. “It is important that everyone involved in the sport gets behind this campaign. Ultimately, if more people become involved as competitors, officials or spectators, then the whole sport will benefit.”
The ground-breaking Go Motorsport campaign has been launched to encourage participation in all branches of the sport and encompasses competing, volunteering and spectating. The campaign covers all age groups, and is designed to show people that getting involved in motorsport is accessible and easy, whatever the individual’s particular interest.
